“It’s not normal”: A mother was shocked to find $2.7 million in her account

A mother was surprised to find $2.7 million in her lottery account.

The 36-year-old Michigan resident thought it was a mistake at first.

But when she checked the numbers, there was a match.

Rachel Fry often plays the lottery in hopes of winning, but like most people, the odds have never been in her favor before, at least to this extent.

“I often play Mega Millions online. When I woke up the day after the draw, I checked the lottery account on my phone. When I saw that I had a pending balance of $2 million, I thought that was not normal,” she explained to the Mirror.

“I closed my app and checked my email. When I saw the email from the lottery saying I had won a prize and verifying my account, I knew it was true! I shook my husband to wake him up and put my phone in his face, shouting for him to look,” she added.

The ticket was purchased online on the state lottery website and Ms Fry was able to claim her prize the next day at Michigan Lottery headquarters.

She plans to use the money to pay off her student loans and fund her younger children’s college, as well as to increase her savings.

“Winning this award is wonderful and will give my family some financial comfort,” she said.
