Leave us alone with the new taxes!

Leave us alone with the new taxes!

On Monday, we learned that elected officials from the Plante administration want us to tax vacant housing, car trips and large asphalt parking lots.

Yes, other taxes! We really need it!

Seriously, these elected officials are completely disconnected from the daily lives of their fellow citizens.

Cost of living crisis, inflation, key rate, homeless citizens, do they mean anything? Or the elect are on another planet.

Politicians always want more money so they can spend more, and any excuse is good.

environment

Of course, all this under the guise of saving the planet.

In their report, we can read that the municipality should: “Over the next few years, identify and adopt possible eco-economic measures to encourage environmentally-responsible behavior and facilitate environmental transition. »

A carrot instead of a stick. That’s a different approach, right?
