Affected by flu-like symptoms, the leader of the Parti Québécois, Paul St-Pierre Plamondon, canceled his activities today

Affected by severe flu-like symptoms, the leader of the Parti Québécois, Paul Saint-Pierre-Plamondon, was forced to cancel all of his election campaign events this Friday.

The day after the debate, in which all political analysts praised his performance, the PQ leader had to suspend his campaign due to a high fever.

“Due to flu symptoms I had to stop my activities today. I have tested negative for covid twice, but out of caution, I will self-isolate for the day,” he announced on Twitter, adding that he hopes to resume campaigning as soon as possible.

Already yesterday evening, the PQ leader was supposed to go to a militant rally at Bistro Ste-Cath after the debate. Exhausted, he finally decided to return to the hotel immediately. Throughout the night, the leader of the PQ suffered from symptoms.

He held discussions with four other party leaders in the same room for two hours. Before the debate, he shook hands with many on a short walkabout outside the Radio-Canada home.

Today, the chief is expected to speak to members at the 80th annual congress of the Quebec Federation of Municipalities (FQM).

It will finally be Joliet candidate Véronique Venne, who will take her place to give her speech.

In addition to several interviews, the leader is scheduled to take part in the Global Strike for Climate Justice on the streets of Montreal. He was to participate in this performance in the company of the Parti Québécois, notably, Pierre Nantel.

In the short term, the leader intends to campaign near the greater metropolitan area. It’s a must-attend show this Sunday that has everyone talking about it.

By the end of the election campaign, the PSPP could move again in the Gaspé and on the north coast if it wants to regain its health.
