According to a Canadian Federation of Independent Business (CFIB) poll, 84% of SMEs believe that Quebec has not taken adequate action against labor shortages, while 48% are unaware of these measures.

“SME managers have to work too much overtime, turn down business opportunities and terminate contracts or postpone them because we have not been able to find the employees they need,” Francois Vincent, vice president of business, told CFIB.

To avoid labor shortages, the CFIB recommends that the Legal government take steps to assist SFI.

“If SMEs are to be able to contribute financially to their full potential and take ambitious measures to recover across Quebec, meet their needs and address labor shortages, the beginning of the term of Parliament should be a priority – work,” Mr Vincent added.
