“What you hear about chemical weapons is related to their strategy,” the prime minister said in an interview with Sky News on Thursday, echoing concerns raised by the United States.

“They (Russians) begin by saying that they have chemical weapons stored by their opponents or the Americans. So when they deploy chemical weapons, as I fear, they will have a kind of maskirovka” – the Russian word for the art of deceiving the enemy – “a false story is ready” says Boris Johnson Said.

“We saw it in Syria, we saw it … even in the United Kingdom,” he continued, referring to the poisoning of British soil.

“This is a cynical, barbaric government,” he continued.

Despite Russian denials, the United Kingdom held Moscow responsible for the 2018 poisoning of Salisbury (south of England) by former Russian double agent Sergei Skripal in Novichok. A few weeks later a Briton died.

Allegedly by Russia, Washington and Kyiv have denied the existence of laboratories intended to produce biological weapons in Ukraine, which has been under Russian attack since February 24, led by tens of thousands of troops.

This is not the first time Russia has made such false accusations against another country, “said David Cook, chief of The Christian Science Monitor’s Washington bureau.

Russia has already accused the United States in 2018 of secretly conducting biological experiments in a laboratory in Georgia, another former Soviet republic that, like Ukraine, aims to join NATO and the EU.

Moscow felt that Ukraine wanted to acquire nuclear weapons to justify its attack, but it voluntarily gave up in the 1990s.
