Recruitment, priority to the Armed Forces

(Ottawa) The Armed Forces are launching a digital recruitment campaign to increase the number of military personnel, says the Vice Chief of Defense of Canada.

Lieutenant-General Francis Allen told an international defense conference in Ottawa that rebuilding the Armed Forces’ priority was a priority and that doing so would correct “many shortcomings” in the recruitment process.

She said recruitment will be more digitally oriented and designed to quickly connect with people who have expressed interest in the armed forces.

She said the recruitment campaign will focus on the skills needed for the Canadian Armed Forces and that it is also important to retain current members.
