Catherine Saint-Laurent's New Project: "After District 31 I Want Something Else"

Next winter on Télé-Québec, we will be able to find a new series called We Feels like going, in which we discuss the daily lives of young people with cystic fibrosis. Actress Catherine Saint-Laurent, the unforgettable Noelle Saint-Hilaire District 31Antoine Olivier Pilon, Joachim Robillard and Noémie Leduc-Vaudry also got a leading role there.

We discover the touching and illuminating story of four friends with cystic fibrosis who find it imperative to live when they learn that one of them will die before the end of the summer. We also learn that the sick are sometimes happier than the healthy. Jean-Christophe Rehel, a poet and novelist, signed his first television series with the project. The first season is directed by Sarah Pellerin.

We recently had the pleasure of speaking with the actress, who tells us about this diverse role: ” It was the perfect project, my dream project after District 31. After 31 I want something else. I also wanted us to see something fun in such a character; There aren’t thousands on Quebec TV. I am really lucky to see this project. Also playing with youngsters means changing districts. The energy is really different, we have the same humor, the same references, it’s a lighter atmosphere. »

She tells us more about her character: My character lives on oxygen 100% of the time, so she’s lugging around an oxygen tank. If only physically, it’s an acting challenge. […] He’s a character with so many nuances, so much color, it’s clear where we can go with this character. […] His time is limited, so he is a character who is always looking for adventure, thrills. She is demanding in friendships because she doesn’t work or go to school, so she needs stimulation. Sometimes it is intense and extreme. »

Marc Béland, Denis Bernard, Martin Drainville, Vincent Grattan, Dominique Leduc, Anik Lemay, Sylvie Moreau, Iannico N’Doua and others are also part of the cast. Learn more about the series here.
