A member of the national bank’s management team is preparing to leave the Quebec financial institution.
Martin Gagnon, National Bank’s financial co-president and co-chief executive officer, as well as executive vice president responsible for wealth management, will retire in two months, the bank announced Thursday.
Responsible for wealth management operations, specifically, full-service securities brokerage services, high-net-worth client services, trust services, third-party clearing services, as well as the design and distribution of wealth management products. Placement as well as self-managed brokerage solutions.
Pending the appointment of a successor, interim wealth management will be provided by Denis Girouard, currently executive vice president and co-head of financial markets.
The other senior executive vice-president and co-head of financial markets, Etienne Dubuque, will now handle the role alone. Etienne Dubuque joined the bank’s management team last November.
