It is written in the sky. With irreconcilable differences between them, the two factions in the party formally split on Thursday with the departure of Gosselin and Dassault, who now sit as independent candidates. Eric Ralph Mercier is now the only elected official wearing the colors of the political establishment.

“We can only see that it will no longer work. We want to focus our efforts on working for our citizens. We announce that we will sit as independent advisors,” Bianca Dassault said at a press conference on Thursday.

The councilor suggested it was painful to leave the party he built with Mr Gosselin in 2017. She assured that she and her colleague did not look at Quebec Forte et Feare, the party of Mayor Bruno Marchand. “It’s like a divorce. We’re not looking for something else right away.”

Both advisors are giving up a “big budget” of $500,000 to commit resources. It is located in Quebec 21 in connection with the firm of Eric Ralph Mercier. $50,000 left each year.

In a recent final debate, two dissenters tried to negotiate a transfer of $150,000 from the budget to hire someone to help them. It was denied to them.

“It’s illegal,” Patrick Pocket said a few minutes later. “We have a party for restructuring. The money is in the cabinet.

For Eric Ralph Mercier, the departure of the two elected officials was greeted with “relief.” “Finally, we will be able to move forward and rebuild a party that looks like us. I surround myself with people I trust.

Back from Melancon?

Two persons said that they will change the name, image and logo of the party.

Stevens Mélancon, who has already left Quebec 21 to sit as an independent, may return to the political party. “We’re going to make announcements to you, slipped Mr. Pocket. I think Mr. Melancon should be contacted so he can come back to the party. There’s no reason he can’t come back anymore. Mr. Melancon is a builder.”

The main interested party is verified to be reflective. “I am talking to Mr. Pocket and for now, I will look at the options available to me. I was thinking,” he said Log.
