Comedian and actor Julien Lacroix has had to cancel an event marking his two years of sobriety after receiving “serious threats” against members of his family, he announced on his social networks on Sunday morning.
“People who have bought tickets will be put to work, I don’t think it’s going to be a high-tension evening here,” he said.
The comedian announced this week that he is returning to public life to mark his two years of sobriety. He was scheduled to record a question and answer podcast in front of an audience of 25 in which he confided in his rehab journey. With mixed reception, some internet users are ready to give the comedian a second chance, while others are not of the same opinion. Therefore, Julien Lacroix admitted that not only himself, but also those close to him received many threats.

In his publication, he admits that the turmoil of returning to the public eye has greatly affected those close to him. For all reasons he decided to cancel his event.
