The media release came after a new video of the third massive police intervention was released on Wednesday.
The Quebec City Police Service (SPVQ) has drawn much criticism and attention across the province following the arrests of Jean-Philippe Saint-Laurent at Pacific Neoquizera and Portofino de Saint-Laurent in the Grand Alley. Raised several eyebrows during the night from Friday to Saturday.
The SPVQ has launched an internal investigation into the two incidents, as did the Commissioner of Police Ethics. Five police officers have been suspended in connection with the first incident.
According to our information, investigators from SPVQ are scheduled to meet today in October with people involved in another violent arrest.
Mr. Turcotte’s last press briefing is from last Sunday.
