At 1 p.m., Quebec Deputy Premier Genevieve Gilbolt will provide an update on Quebec City area conditions that are struggling to contain the virus. She will be accompanied by Quebec City Mayor Regis Labyum.

The National Institutes of Health in Quebec, in its latest estimates, said provincial hospitals will not reach full capacity in the next four weeks as transmission rates have stabilized in recent days.
On Thursday, Premier Franకోois Legalt said he would have to wait until early next week to decide which red zone sanctions would be lifted by next Wednesday.
He has already made it clear that the number of cases, hospitals and deaths will force the province to place a lot of sanctions, including the closure of restaurants and bars.
“It’s a question of accident,” Legalt said Thursday. “There are people. When they go to restaurants, they never respect the two meters.”
