The issue of a single tax run by Quebec on the rave is provoking strong opposition in Shavinigan. Named the National Center for Verification and Collection, the demonstration will take place on Saturday condemning the detrimental effects of the tax center’s 2,000 jobs.
The Union of Taxation Employees is organized with the support of the city of Shavinigan and the business community, which gives a break by March to the tax center and speech site.
“One thing is for sure, jobs in Shavinigan must remain in Shavinigan and in all cases we must make it clear to all political parties in the election that we will not take any small opportunity. Another Canadian province,” Mayor Michelle Angers warned.
The Black Quabocois leader believes there is no risk anyway, now that very few tax returns have been processed in Shavinigan. However, he was adamant on the matter. “The only national assembly that speaks for Quebec has voted unanimously in favor of a single tax revenue and we will defend it,” Yves-Franకోois Blanchett emphasized.
Minister Franకోois-Philippe Champagne, against a single tax, blamed the black leader. “If a member of the Beloil-Chambli, known as a certain Monsieur Blanchett, does not want to help us, he will not harm us. Him, we have suppressed it,” said the Liberal candidate for Saint-Maurice – Champlain.
In recent months, the Taxation Employees Union has made a failed attempt to negotiate with Yves-Franకోois Blanchett. A new attempt was made last week without further results. “I can tell you that we were not very popular. I can also tell you that we are horses. If others (black) do that, we will not do that. We will talk to everyone,” said Patrick Bertrand, a union adviser.
