Trump will be stumped in Florida, North Carolina
Trump plans to hold events Tuesday in Florida and North Carolina, two battlefield states he won four years ago.
According to Trump’s schedule, “Environmental Achievements for the People of Florida” will be held Tuesday afternoon in West Palm Beach, Fla.
On the advice of the White House, he will travel to Winston-Salem, NC for a campaign event on Tuesday night before returning to the White House.
In 2016, Trump took Florida by less than two percentage points over Democrat Hillary Clinton and North Carolina by less than three percentage points.
Before Trump left for Florida, Byron released a pair of statements about the coronavirus outbreak and its impact on the two states he was visiting on Tuesday.
“President Trump’s abuse has claimed the lives and livelihoods of many North Carolinians, and racial groups carry the burden of destruction,” Biden said in a statement aimed at the Heel State. “Although he came forward with wealthy corporate donors, he looked away from North Carolinians who needed a lifeline. As president, I would fight for your family, it’s my own.”
