Exposed and rated on Instagram: Patriots hockey player in hot water

Several students of the University of Quebec at Trois-Rivières (UQTR) have denounced a hockey player from the Patriots university team who created an Instagram account where he grades women, some of whom he has close relationships with.

Personal information such as their photo, their name as well as their nationality or their date of birth is exposed.

“I feel stressed, uncomfortable. I find it very damaging to the individual and the patriots,” said one of the alleged victims, who preferred to remain anonymous.

An unknown person alerted young women through social networks.

“I discovered that a player from the UQTR men’s hockey team had created an Instagram account. […] There are more than a dozen girls on the account. […] The first publication is from August 22, 2022 and the latest from October 30, 2022,” she wrote to the students.

“I, let’s admit it, at first I didn’t understand. I was anxious about life and I almost had trouble sleeping,” admitted one of the exposed young women.

Although the account has now been deleted, the screenshots are still circulating, fueling the fear of many returning to school.

“It looks scary to me. You know, we’re both at UQTR, so there’s a chance I’ll meet or see him,” she added.

“I’ve been at events, and it’s like a social anxiety to say to myself, ‘Who saw that?’ Who has heard of it? how do i look I did not go back to the university because I was under pressure to meet him,” said another of the alleged victims, reached over telephone.

UQTR is aware of the allegations and has confirmed that provisional measures may be taken…
