(Victoria) The Liberals and New Democrats were announced as winners in two BC Federal Rides to ensure election night winner.
According to Elections Canada, Liberal Wilson will be the new MP for the Miao Richmond Center, defeating outgoing Conservative MP Alice Wang by 772 votes.
In Nanymo-Ladysmith, Vancouver Island, New Democrat candidate Lisa Marie Barron defeated Tory Tamara Cronis by 1,281 votes. Outgoing Green MP Paul Manley came in third.
Earlier on Friday, Canada declared Liberal Talib Noor Mohammed the winner in Vancouver-Granville, once represented by independent MP Jodi Wilson-Rebold, a former Liberal cabinet minister.
Liberal Patrick Wheeler was also declared the winner in West Vancouver – Sunshine Coast – Sea to Sky, with Stephen Harper defeating former Conservative John Weston.
Although the mail-in ballots for several constituencies are still being counted, the final counting of seats in the by-elections on Monday is almost complete. The Liberals have 159, the Conservatives 119, the Black Cubacois 33, the New Democratic Party 25 and the Green Party two.
