In these first three episodes, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex describe their meeting and their love story, and above all they accuse the media and paparazzi of “ruining” Meghan compared to Harry’s late mother Diana.

But it is the more hollow criticism of the royal family and the institution of monarchy that prompts the British press to respond, particularly to ridicule protocol or a racist and intolerant United Kingdom.

“This is a gross disguise of reality,” wrote the Daily Mail.

Curator “Daily Telegraph” opined that the couple “shows a childish lack of respect for British culture and its customs”, ruling that the palace should be “distressed” to see Harry treat the entire country as “a group of white supremacist Brexit supporters”. .

The “Telegraph” documentary also highlights attacks against the Commonwealth.

Many speakers – but not directly Harry or Meghan – criticized the legacy of the British Empire’s colonial and slavery past, where Queen Elizabeth expresses her attachment to the Commonwealth in between scenes.

“Their behavior is disrespectful to the Queen’s memory and to the institution she served so dutifully,” wrote the “Mirror”.

According to “The Times”, relatives of the royal family “expressed their shock” at the attacks.
