Montreal Saint-Hubert – The new routes from Longueil Airport and the Montreal / Saint-Hubert Heli-Inter Aerodrome (CTG2) have been established and will be officially operational from April 15, according to the Language Mayor’s agency.

“I am so relieved for the citizens in my neighborhood! This is a great achievement achieved collectively. All efforts – and added – have finally paid off, ”said Lisa Belicha, municipal councilor in the main district Boise-du Tremblay district, which was affected by the noise pollution, in a press release Monday.

Keep in mind that from the spring of 2021, the situation will be unbearable for residents of the eastern sector of the city exposed to the noise and roar of tourist helicopters from the helicopter company. The situation worsens on weekends, where the frequency sometimes varies only from 10 to 15 minutes between flights from morning to evening.

“The noise was so intense on some streets that it had to stop conversations,” Mr.Me Belicha.

“I would like to thank all the players involved for helping to solve this annoying problem. […]. The links between Helicraft, NAV Canada and Transport Canada are complex, requiring good dose resilience. Fortunately, we are seeing a positive outcome in this file and it’s before summer, ”said Longueil Mayor Catherine Fornier.
