CF Montreal did not take long to vehemently condemn its player Mustafa Kizza’s sensitive publication to the LGBTQ + community.
This weekend, Kizza posted a photo of two people getting married, first with hilarious character emojis, and then ending with facial emojis (disappointment) with a comment.
On Monday, the player apologized: “I want to apologize for the absurd comments I made on social media about the LGBTQ + community. This is a lack of judgment and I take full responsibility for it. Sorry, I’m learning from this and I’m reading well. ”
Immediately, CF Montreal accepted his apology, but without pushing the reflection any further.
“CF Montreal learned about his player Mustafa Kizza’s unacceptable publication on social media. The club reminds us to tolerate any kind of discrimination or bias and we are just as open as our city. We are proud of the great diversity, cultural and social that makes us a club.
