“Pierre Fortin is at the company’s service as a strategic advisor to continue a smooth and successful transition, as well as to finalize specific mandates such as modeling tools that meet the needs of our customers and the company. Caroline des Rosiers explains, spokesperson for Hydro-Québec.
Pierre Fortin is a former vice president of Hydro. “The roles of Mr. Laporte and Mr. Fortin are different. Both report to the CEO,” the spokesperson said.
Salary below $400,000
Last March, News magazine Hydro-Québec’s CEO reported, Sophie Brochu and her management committee have provided themselves with a strategic adviser whose salary is a secret. This is Real Laporte, a former member of senior management under former CEO Eric Martel.
However, it is impossible to know the remuneration defined in his contract. The Crown Corporation replied that it was “confidential information”.
Réal Laporte has been appointed to support the management committee in its operations given his considerable experience and knowledge of the company, Hydro-Québec replied by email.

The lowest amount for base salary in the list of five highest paid executives, Mme Booklet, $400,000.
