A Costco member went viral after bringing a very large television he bought in 2002 back to the store.
An image shared by a Reddit user shows a giant screen mounted on a rolling platform in the customer service line at a Costco in Pennsylvania.
This could be the Samsung HCL552W screen sold in tablets in 2002.
Today, the store chain accepts returns for electronic devices within 90 days of purchase. However, prior to 2007, Costco's policy stated that there was no time limit for getting a refund; Members can return their purchases even after several years.
That's what this Costco member had in mind when he returned this 20-year-old television.
“I have not seen the person who brought this story,” wrote the internet user who shared the famous photo.
“I have only seen employees doing reimbursements. Their response is: 'It's within the rules' and they shrug their shoulders,” he says.
The post received more than 67,000 reactions and 4,000 comments on Reddit.
