Los Angeles | Sony Chiba, a martial arts expert and Japanese film legend who appeared in Quentin Tarantino’s’ Kill Bill, has died at the age of 82 from problems with COVID-19, we learned Thursday from his agent.
“Sony disappeared from COVID-19 yesterday … he was a great friend and a great customer. Such a humble, attentive and friendly person,” Timothy Beale told AFP.
Sadaho Maida was born in 1939 in Fukuoka, southwestern Japan.
This science has allowed him to grow into one of the greatest actors in Japanese movies and series, with nearly 125 performances on behalf of the famous Toy Studios that hired him in the New Talent competition.
In the wake of Bruce Lee’s worldwide success, Sony Chiba has distinguished himself with the role of the most violent henchman in the “The Street Fighter” trilogy outside of Japan.
The show recognized Quentin Tarantino in his youth and called American director Sonny Chiba to play “Kill Bill” in Hathori Hanzo, turning Samurai Uma Thurman into a sword dummy chef in revenge.
In 2006, he also starred in “Fast and Furious: Tokyo Drift” by Japanese actor Justin Lin.
