Jerome Gabriel has confirmed that he is in the process of being selected as the New Democratic Party (NDP) candidate in the next federal election.
If his candidacy is successful, the 24-year-old will be the NDP candidate in the Louis-Saint-Laurent ride, represented by conservative Gerard Deltell since 2015. In 2011, the NDP had already elected Alexandre Latendress in the constituency.

Jerome Gabrielle indicates that party officials have not made that decision and no official announcement has been made yet. He doesn’t even like to be interviewed.
The NDP has confirmed that it has received its candidature request. Although the Quebec singer wanted to be a candidate, the party did not give additional details. If his candidature is approved by the party, he can get the nomination.
