Laurent DuVernay-Tardif will try to return to the NFL with the Jets

DuVernay-Tardif left Montreal on Tuesday and traveled to Jets headquarters in New Jersey, where he is completing a physical. If all goes as planned, his appointment will be formalized soon.

He will first join the Jets reserve team. Depending on his progress, he may be added to the regular roster. In all likelihood, we shouldn’t expect to see him in uniform for Sunday’s game against the Patriots in Foxborough.

The Duvernay-Tardif clan doesn’t plan to comment on the whole matter until the news is official.

“I’m continuing to train and I’ll see how I feel in September, but the teams that approached me are comfortable with the situation. I can’t be more transparent about that. I’ll prioritize medical while leaving the door open for me,” he said. LogOn June 8.
