Quebec Solidaire spokeswoman Manon Maas announced in a message posted on Twitter Monday that she has COVID-19.

“I’ve been very lucky so far, but it’s my turn to get Covid,” writes Manon Maas. Don’t worry too much, I will be taking some time off in the next few days to heal myself and I will come back to you healthy! Beware.”
Separately, the government on Monday announced 1,224 new cases of COVID-19 and four new deaths in the last 24 hours. 6,418 health workers were also absent from work for reasons related to COVID-19.
According to recent data, 2,088 people have been hospitalized for Covid-19, including 54 in intensive care. Hospitalization data is updated only from Tuesday to Saturday.
