Ms. In Girault’s absence, Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing Andre Laforest will be in charge of the ministry’s files, we said in a press release.
It also stated that “Bertrand’s constituency office is open and fully operational to serve the population”.
In another press release, the CAQ member announced that she would not seek a second term next fall due to health reasons.
After her election in October 2018, Ms. Girault was appointed Minister of International Relations and La Francophonie, then Minister of Immigration, Francization and Integration.

“Nadine is a passionate woman, willing to do anything for Quebec. A good example is the economic change she piloted in Quebec’s international delegation. By boosting Quebec’s economy, it left its mark for years to come. I am very proud to be able to count her on my team,” announced Quebec Premier Francois Legault.
