More Harvey's restaurants for the Martin Group in the Quebec region

After the St-Hubert rotisseries, Martin Group wants to grow the Harvey’s banner in the Quebec region, planning six openings over the next five years.

This project is led by 3e The Martin family’s generation consists of six young professionals aged 28 to 31 years. The group bought two Harvey’s restaurants in Quebec, one on L’Ormier Boulevard and the other on Clemenceau Street in Beauport. The Sainte-Anne-de-Beaupré restaurant already belongs to the company.

The grilled burger specialist already had 13 branches in the area in the 1990s. The Martin Group wants to revive the fast food chain’s glory days.

As St-Hubert and Harvey’s rotisseries are part of the Recettes Illimitees (formerly Cara) family, the opportunity to combine forces on this project presented itself naturally.

“We love the product and we see the growth potential of the Harvey brand. It’s a brand that’s been a little under-recognized in recent years, but we want to work hard to get that out there,” said Gabrielle Martin, director of human resources.

According to William Martin, director of operations, Harvey’s offers a unique product with burgers cooked on the grill and served to the customer’s taste.

Fell into the potion

The restaurant on Boulevard L’Ormière will be renovated to bring it up to date. As for Beauport, some improvements will also be made.

It must be said that the 3rd generation members of this family of Quebec restaurateurs fell into the magic potion at an early age.

“We were born into it. We started working in St-Hubert restaurants at the age of 14. After watching our parents, our passion for catering grew and we also wanted to go there. Everyone studied in different fields, so when we work together, we find our strengths as a team,” continued Gabrielle, William’s cousin.

“Six members of 3e Generation, we realize how lucky we are to work together. We get along well and it’s a pleasure to renew every day. There are many challenges that excite us, but we don’t feel pressure because we know we have each other’s support,” said William.

A new Harvey’s opening will be determined as location opportunities arise.

“There are already some areas that we are looking at and that are very interesting for Harveys. We are on the hunt. We will look into it as soon as we get a chance,” he said.

The Martin family now owns 11 Saint-Hubert rotisseries and three Harvey restaurants, employing a total of 1,200 people in the greater Quebec City area.
