Ontario Provincial Police confirmed Monday morning that the victim was Albert Poinger of Point-Claire.

Authorities have not yet revealed the circumstances of his death and how he was killed.

Ontario police were called to attend Hawksbury Hospital on Thursday evening, where “several suspicious deaths” occurred.

On the spot, police arrested Brian Nadler, a Quebec doctor from Dollarbed-des-Ormax.

A pre-murder case was filed against the doctor Friday in L’Rignal Court.

“He maintains his innocence and strongly defends the charges against him,” attorney Alan Brass said Friday, defending Dr Nadler.

Ontario Provincial Police said they are “continuing to investigate” other suspicious deaths at the hospital. Authorities have not yet confirmed the number of suspicious deaths.

Dr. Nadler will return to court on April 6 for further legal action.
