NASCAR Daytona 500: Denny Hamlin Gagne La 1re Manche

Daytona Beach, Fla. – Denny Hamlin won the first stage of the Daytona 500 on Sunday, showing that he has a good car to become the first driver to win “The Great American Race” for three years in a row.

After being delayed for nearly six hours due to bad weather, Hamlin advanced on the field shortly after the race resumed.

His teammate Kyle Bush with Joe Gibbs Racing stayed behind him until he fell on the last lap of the stage, which was completed in seven hours.

Ryan Prize was second, followed by Austin Dillon, Kyle Larson and Austin Cindrick. Christopher Bell is sixth, ahead of Bubba Wallace, Joey Logano, Ross Chastein and Cole Custer.

Of the 40 cars, only 28 are on track.
