NASCAR Daytona 500: Denny Hamlin Gagne La 1re Manche

Daytona Beach, Fla. – Denny Hamlin won the first stage of the Daytona 500 on Sunday, showing that he has a good car to become the first driver to win “The Great American Race” for three years in a row.

After being delayed for nearly six hours due to bad weather, Hamlin advanced on the field shortly after the race resumed.

His teammate Kyle Bush with Joe Gibbs Racing stayed behind him until he fell on the last lap of the stage, which was completed in seven hours.

Ryan Prize was second, followed by Austin Dillon, Kyle Larson and Austin Cindrick. Christopher Bell is sixth, ahead of Bubba Wallace, Joey Logano, Ross Chastein and Cole Custer.

Of the 40 cars, only 28 are on track.

The race resumed after 9:00 pm after being delayed due to the sky high of the Daytona Beach area. Pushing spectators respecting the physical distance at the stands to seek refuge in thunderous corridors.

Heavy rain then fell on the circuit, indicating a long interruption of the race.

Prior to the inclement weather, the NASCAR series took less than 15 laps for the first major pile of season opening.

A total of 16 cars were involved when the car driven by Arik Almirola collided with Alex Bowman’s car, which had a prominent position.

Bell started the melee when Almirola pushed the car closer to the front of the field.

The team of pilots involved in the pilot included Martin Trux Jr., Eric Jones, Jamie McMurray, Ryan Blaney, William Byron, Ryan Newman and Kurt Bush.
