The city of Quebec has invested $ 4 1.4 million over three years to launch the Quantino Technology Incubator on the campus of INO (National Optics Institute) in the Quebec Metropolitan Technology Park.
“I think it’s safe. It’s almost not venture capital, because we know that most companies born out of the spin-off of INO technologies make children, ”the mayor assured. Thursday morning during a virtual press briefing in Quebec, from Regis Labyum.
According to him, “It pays and the marketable products come out of there. In the medium and long term, we become winners. There is no doubt.”
The Quebec government has invested 5,000 375,000 in three years for the project, with a total budget of close to $ 5 million.
High technologies
Quantino is a business incubator in high technology, especially in optics, photonics, quantum and hardware. It provides infrastructure and services to entrepreneurs to contribute to the commercial success of their business.
Over 17,000 square feet.2 The INO headquarters in Quebec City has offices, including six new state-of-the-art laboratories.
