Members of the Olimel Wally-Junction Workers Union rejected a provisional agreement with the employer at a meeting Tuesday evening.
57% of the members rejected the agreement presented to them in principle in the Assembly. The second was between the union and the employer from Friday night until last Saturday.
“The members decided in principle to reject the agreement as unsatisfactory,” union president Martin Maurice said in a statement on Tuesday. We will therefore notify the employer and we will return to the negotiating table in the presence of the negotiator. ”
Martin Petit, CSN’s public relations officer, said he could not say more at the moment.
Keep in mind that the labor dispute began on April 28th. In principle it takes several compromise meetings to reach an agreement. Wages, working hours and the length of the collective agreement are at the center of the dispute.
The Olime Wally-Junction Workers Union represents approximately 1,050 members.
