- October 25, 2021: Abolition of capacity limits (restaurants, bars, gyms)
- November 15, 2021: Capacity restrictions lifted (weddings, nightclubs, dance bars)
- January 17, 2022: Vaccination passport expires in restaurants, bars and gyms
- March 28, 2022: End of masking (with a few exceptions)
If the condition worsens in one area, health measures may be imposed locally. Extraordinary circumstances can still justify the imposition of sanctions at the provincial level, especially if the health care system is overcrowded.
In the immediate aftermath, the Ontario government on Monday lifted restrictions on the number of clients allowed in most companies that require proof of vaccination. These include restaurants, bars, bingo halls, casinos and places where people train and exercise, which are yet to be filled.
From Monday, other businesses will also have the option of requiring a vaccine; Instead, they no longer have to limit the number of customers or run a physical distance.
This command applies to hairdressing salons as well as museums and historic sites.
Places such as grocery stores and health facilities are not on this list, however, places that provide essential services do not require proof of vaccination.
If the situation permits, systematic proof of vaccination will not be mandatory from January 17 in establishments of various categories, starting with restaurants, bars, casinos and entertainment facilities. It will no longer be required by the end of March in final category venues such as concert halls, cinemas and convention centers.
The government will soon announce that it will increase the number of people allowed to attend the Remembrance Day celebrations and the Santa Claus parade.
The number of new infections in Ontario continues to decline. Over the past ten days, the number of new cases has dropped to less than 500.
Approximately 88% of eligible Antarians received the vaccine dose and over 83% were fully immunized.
