A lineup of common Canadian faces will be among the the presenters on the Juno Awards’ streaming broadcast tonight.
Stranger Things actor Finn Wolfhard, Chris Boucher of the Toronto Raptors and two-time Juno winner Jessie Reyez are among the homegrown stars encouraging to rejoice winners in 42 groups on Canada’s greatest night in music.
It is a 2nd chance for the Junos ceremony following the authentic televised broadcast in Saskatoon was cancelled earlier this year amid the early days of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Junos organizers determined to mix two nights of field accolades into one particular truncated show they say will operate about 90 minutes, with performances by musicians Iskwe, Neon Desires and the Useless South.
Also undertaking is this year’s major nominee, pop singer Alessia Cara, who was booked as host for the initial ceremony before it was scrapped. She has 6 nods in categories that include pop album, artist of the 12 months and single of the yr.
Rapper Tory Lanez trails carefully behind Cara with five nominations, whilst pianist Alexandra Streliski, Bryan Adams, Bulow, Nav, Loud Luxury and Shawn Mendes have 3 each and every.
The Junos will stream on CBC Gem and CBC’s Fb, YouTube and Twitter webpages at 7 p.m. ET.
Since the party was earlier taped, organizers have asked that artists put up their acceptance speeches on social media immediately after the exhibit.
