The Directorate General of Education and Teaching (DGEE) said in a statement on Thursday that a man with tuberculosis had contacted students and staff of three public schools in Fay. Harry and Farahi Nursery Schools and Waiha Primary School in Faya are of concern. Parents and school staff have already been informed.
The sick person is cared for and treated appropriately and is no longer infected, prescribes DGEE.
The doctor and nurse responsible for the fight against tuberculosis at the Health Watch Office (BVS) conducted the tests in coordination with the Consultation Center, which specializes in hygiene and school health (CCSHS), and all DGE students.

Keep in mind that tuberculosis is an infectious disease caused by bacteria (Mycobacterium tuberculosis) and is spread through the air. The disease develops slowly and the patient may have an infection before symptoms appear. It can be completely cured with antibiotic treatment.
