Richard Lattendress had a memorable first day in the White House

Host Denis Levesque returns to the small screen with a series tracing the history of LCN, a continuous news channel that will celebrate its 25th anniversary in 2023.

Denis Levesque, who ended his eponymous show last spring after 3,000 episodes, was given the mandate to conduct 25 major interviews with people who have marked the news over this quarter century.

This week, Denis Levesque travels to the White House, where he meets with Washington correspondent Richard Lattendress.

If a journalist knows the backstage of the US president’s residence, he has made a mistake on his first day.

“For the first time in my life I’m here at a George W. Bush press conference,” he told Denis Levesque.

Richard Latendresse, a newcomer to the press room, enters through a side door, something he should never do when the man at the lectern begins to speak.

“I don’t know. You don’t fit in! Imagine the President of the United States during a press conference!”, he said with a laugh.
