The press did not respond to AFP’s requests for the two actors’ attorneys or Brad Pitt (57).

Leading news site TMZ reported that the decision, given by retired Judge John ud Dirkirk, operates in a private context rather than in court, confirming the principle of equal custody.

It comes almost five years after Angelina Jolie (now 46) filed for divorce in September 2016. The actress has taken legal action to remove the judge in the case and the process is still ongoing.

The decision applies to five of the ex-couple’s six children, Maddox Jolie-Pitt (19) of legal age, and can be challenged in civil law.

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have not been officially married since April 2019, but the issue of sharing their property has not yet been resolved.

In 2018, the two Hollywood stars reached a tentative agreement on the terms of keeping their children secret, but did not agree to a permanent formula.

The FBI launched an investigation following the incident reported by TMZ, which took place in September 2016. During a flight, Brad Pitt was accused of verbally and physically assaulting his children. At the end of the investigation, the American Federal Police decided not to initiate any prosecution.

For over a decade as the most glamorous couple in Hollywood, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt were officially together from 2005 to 2016. They have three biological children and Brad Pitt has officially adopted Maddox, Pax and Zahara.
