Quebec Premier Franకోois Legalt will hold a press conference at 1pm on Tuesday in the company of Health Minister Christian Dubey and National Director of Public Health Horacio Aruda at 1pm.
As the number of cases has been increasing over the last few weeks, these three should take stock of the evolution of the COVID-19 pandemic in the province.
It was the first press briefing where the three met after the summer holidays began.
Health Minister Christian Dubey recently called for vaccinations to prevent the epidemiological condition from deteriorating too rapidly.
On Friday, he also published a letter on social networks in which he confirmed that it was becoming more difficult to achieve collective immunity.
“We thought a while ago that it was possible to achieve collective immunity through vaccination. But mutations in the virus have always pushed this hope further,” he wrote exclusively on his Facebook page.
As of Monday, there were 530 new COVID-19 cases in Quebec and no new deaths.
However, statistics observed for hospitalization and intensive care patients showed that 11 people were hospitalized and another eight were in intensive care.
