“The Liberal government’s old COVID-19 protocols at airports are causing serious delays, lineups, backlogs and missed connections,” MPs Melissa Lantman and Luke Berthold said in a statement.
According to them, Canadians are subject to “unnecessary protocols”, but the United States and the European Union have largely relaxed their rules.
In particular, they criticized Transport Minister Omar Algabra for not giving them a timetable to return to normalcy, but the queues at airports were getting longer and waiting times for passports to be delivered.
