Biden has appointed former Obama State Department spokeswoman Jen Saki as her White House press secretary and campaign spokeswoman Kate Beddingfield as her communications director.
Simon Saunders, Senior Advisor on the Biden-Harris Campaign Vice President-Elected Kamala Harris’ Chief Spokeswoman and Biden’s Press Secretary Vice President Elizabeth Alexander First Lady Jill Biden will be the Director of Communications.
Karen Jean-Pierre, a senior campaign adviser and former senior adviser to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, will also serve as deputy White House press secretary and director of communications for vice president, while Phil Tobar Chuck Schumer, former Senate minority leader and director of Hispanic media, will serve as deputy communications director.
The communication team is “the most diverse team in history and the children of 6 moms,” Saki said on Twitter.
