United Kingdom: After five disappearances, a cat was found on an offshore platform

Five years after the disappearance of a cat, it found its owner, who headed for the Scottish offshore platform, from where it was airlifted by helicopter, representing human society.

“We have successfully rescued a cat found in an offshore oil rig in a shipping container from Peterhead,” the Scottish SCPA said in a statement, east of Scotland.

The animal, which recovered on April 22, benefited from a “personal return by helicopter”.

It was found in a container off the coast of Scotland.

“We do not know how the cat ended up there, but we went to the heliport this morning to pick it up,” said Amy Findley, a member of the Scottish SPCA.

In recent years, the cat has been making frequent trips to Peterhead Prison, where prison staff have fed him and named him ‘One-Eyed Joe’. However, when his microchip was examined, his real name was ‘Dexter’ and he had been missing for five years.

“We’re really glad he took good care of him at the time of his disappearance, but we are even happier to be reunited with his original owner thanks to his microchip,” the association explained.
