Through capsules produced with influencer Antoine on TikTok, ACDQ hopes to reach out to youth to prevent them from adopting viral dental practices without knowing the long-term consequences.

Many methods such as teeth filing or home remedies for teeth whitening can cause the problem.

“You have to talk to your dentist before doing anything because there are things like buying kits from the pharmacy. [pour se blanchir les dents]But making other charcoal paste recipes with lemon juice and brushing your teeth with it, in the long run, these are not very successful solutions for your tooth enamel,” explained Dr. Carl Tremblay, president of ACDQ. An interview with TVA Novelles.

A series of videos aimed at raising awareness among the youth will be released in the coming weeks.

“It’s on Antoine’s TikTok account, which is followed by more than 200,000 young people, so a good group of people. There will be one video per week in April with a new subject every week,” said Mr. Tremblay continued.

Hence the “Your Dentist Verified” campaign is underway and will continue throughout the Oral Health Month.
