During the first episode Wire tapped at bell center, on Friday evening, we sincerely thought we were witnessing a false good idea. The furious sound and rambling chatter spoiled our enjoyment to say the least. The guests of the second episode arrived: Martin Matte, Stéphane Rousseau, Marie-Line Zonkas. And we found out Under listening That we loved so much.

When Erich Precht, who opened for Mike Ward on the tour, took to the stands to warm up the crowd, shortly before 8pm, we felt we were in for something special. A comedian who was a doorman at a bordello comedy club a few years ago, he was hailed as a major international star.
About fifteen minutes later, when Mike Ward entered, the decibels were on the carpet. Walking through the crowd, the comedian shook hands, a big smile on his face. A monster ovation. We rarely heard bell center sound.
“To be honest, I thought I had a better reception than that. We are going to add Applause Editing,” laughed Ward.
The moment was truly magical. You almost have to pinch yourself to say we’re seeing such an event for a French-speaking podcast! Guinness Records is also expected to approve this evening Under listening Like a podcast live Performed in front of the largest audience in the world.
Very resonant
Mike Ward introduced his co-host for the evening, the requisite Jean-Thomas Jobin. Another loud applause. Everything went on wheels. Then, Ward welcomed the first three guests of the evening’s two episodes: Les Denis Drolet and Christine Morenci.
And this is where our joy suddenly came to a screeching halt. All seated in a circle around a small table, the five companions were completely lost on stage, through the huge crowd. For several minutes, they observed the situation, slightly uncomfortable.
“Can you hear me echoing? asked one. “You said the sound was bad, you got it! Another was repulsed. We struggled to hear all the jokes as the sound enclosure bounced around.
Small table
The smallness of the round table also meant that we saw the guests on the big screens more often from the back than from the front. Maybe the result is better on the web. But it was disappointing on the spot.
What did the guests talk about in this first episode of almost 90 minutes? Frankly, we lost the thread of their discussions, which went in all directions. But they spoke Cleansing-creamDenise’s podcast and show Masked singers.
As the energy began to die down towards the end of the first episode, Mike Ward turned to the audience to ask a few questions. “Mike, we know you love to sing. The Pope is coming to Quebec next week, would you like to sing for him? said a spectator to the cheers of the people. “This is the best joke ever!” Jean Thomas said.
After a little musical break from Pépé and his guitar, Mike Ward welcomes the guests of the second episode after 10 pm. And this is where it all really took off. In great form, Matte, Rousseau and Zonkas gave us a lot of great entertainment.
Keith and Celine
Out of order, they made jokes about Philip Bond in a taxi, Jean-Thomas talked about the love of phone books, the time Mike Ward confused Philippe Laprice with PA Methot, the time Mike Martin called prostitutes with Matt and one of them was Keith Richards and Celine Dion’s first part at the Bell Center in 2000. looks like Phew!
Mike Ward can be proud of creating this event and attracting so many people to attend the regular recording of the podcast. The massive dose of love he received from the massive crowd was something he would never forget. But we’re still waiting to find out Under listening In the intimacy of Brothal.
