Of these, Gabriel Nadeau-Dubois of Quebec Solidair wrote a letter to the Prime Minister asking him to resolve the error quickly.
“If we can not find a short – term solution to preserve the QR code of vaccine passports and qubasers,” a Goin member told LCN’s broadcast waves, “we should consider suspending or postponing passport expansion.”
He stated that “the technology is not ready to run.”
“The media is reporting an even worse problem. So we have to reassure the public.”
On Twitter, Health Minister Christian Dubey also reiterated that the QR code is secure.
“The QR code and the personal information contained therein will not be used without the consent of the individual. Violators will face civil / criminal prosecution,” he said.
