Héroux-Devtek has won a major contract to develop landing gear for its next-generation defense aircraft.
The Language-based company, based in South Shore, Montreal, announced on Thursday that it had awarded the contract through Lockheed Martin.
“Obtaining this important agreement will not only strengthen our business relationship with this important client, but also help expose us to new business opportunities,” said Martin Brassard, President and CEO of Héroux-Devtek.
The new deal will focus on the development of a new generation of landing gear.
Héroux-Devtek is an international company specializing in the design, development, manufacture, repair, maintenance and overhaul of landing gear, hydraulic and electromechanical actuators.
It has been working with Lockheed Martin since the 1990s. The Horox-Devtech Marine Patrol aircraft specializes in the landing gear management of the P-3, manufactures and designs the landing gear of the cargo aircraft C-130. Landing gear for CH-53K helicopter as well as flight door locking system for F-35 multirol aircraft.
