(Ottawa) The Armed Forces are launching a digital recruitment campaign to increase the number of military personnel, says the Vice Chief of Defense of Canada.

Lieutenant-General Francis Allen told an international defense conference in Ottawa that rebuilding the Armed Forces’ priority was a priority and that doing so would correct “many shortcomings” in the recruitment process.
She said recruitment will be more digitally oriented and designed to quickly connect with people who have expressed interest in the armed forces.
She said the recruitment campaign will focus on the skills needed for the Canadian Armed Forces and that it is also important to retain current members.
Lieutenant General. Allen noted that a cultural change was taking place, allowing people to “do their part” without feeling “outsider” or “someone else”.
General Wayne Eyre, Chief of Defense Staff, will speak later today at the Institute of Defense Associations Institute event, as well as the ousted opposition chief Svyatlana Sikhanowskaya from Belarus.
MMe Sikhanowskaya won a first-round victory over Alexander Lukashenko in the 2020 Belarusian presidential election, replacing her detained husband.
Lukashenko, a close ally of Russian President Vladimir Putin, has challenged her in the last election. Mr. on Ukraine by allowing Russian forces to keep themselves along the border. Putin allowed Belarus to facilitate the invasion.
