Despite continuing to be hospitalized, public health is relying on individuals to decide whether or not they want to collect during the long Easter holiday.

Unlike the first wave of COVID-19, the Director of Public Health did not consider the new restrictions and refused to make recommendations for Quebecars to meet over the weekend.
Dr. Luke Boyle explained at a news conference Wednesday that every person must “assess their risk.”
Therefore, people with COVID-19 symptoms or people who have had them for the past ten days should stay away from meetings. Similarly, those at high risk, such as those with cancer, should be careful.
On Wednesday, 2,060 hospitals in Quebec were connected to COVID-19. A new projection from the National Institute of Excellence in Health and Social Services (INESSS) reported 2,339 occupied beds in two weeks.
Quebec will also have to deal with a new tile: the flu (influenza) is coming late this year.
In Europe, where the flu season began a few weeks ago, influenza has been a front-line stressor, but without having a significant impact on hospitalization, explains Dr. John Langtin, a microbiologist and expert from the MSSS.
