(Montreal) In 2021, Noah downgraded Liam and William, who had been at the top of the list for over 10 years, for the first time, the most popular name for boys born in Quebec.

Among the girls, Emma took her title from Little Lias in 2015, but Olivius won in 2019 and 2020. Lias dominated the rankings for 10 years until 2014, with the exception of one Emma year in 2012. 2021, there are 521 new Emmas, but 519 Olivias – the fight is fierce. Little Alice, Florence and Charlie are not far behind.
Among the boys, Williams topped the list 14 times from 2002 to 2018, having been with Samuel and Thomas for years. Liam took charge in 2019 and 2020, while Noah surpassed William in 2021 with 717 incidents against 709.
In 2021, first name Liam dropped from first to fifth and Jacob jumped from ninth to sixth; Leo, Nathan, Arthur and Edward are still popular.
Oddly enough, the first names Joe and Felix reappear in the top 10 list, with little Clara and Logan removed from the list of winners in 2021.
