Vince McMahon reportedly paid $12 million to silence victims

WWE, the longtime influence of America’s wrestling empire, has reportedly agreed to pay more than $12 million to silence allegations of sexual misconduct and infidelity by Vince McMahon over the past 16 years. Wall Street Journal.

This amount is much more than what is known in the public domain.

According to the American daily, the four women – all previously linked to WWE – have signed contracts with the 76-year-old, banning them from talking about their relationship with him.

McMahon stepped down as WWE chairman and CEO in mid-June pending an investigation into allegations of misconduct. McMahon, however, will continue to oversee the creative side of WWE during the trial.

During the announcement, the Wall Street Journal McMahon has paid $3 million to a former paralegal who said she was sexually harassed at her workplace.

WWE has named Vince McMahon’s daughter Stephanie McMahon as interim president and CEO for a trial period.

The company said it would not comment until the investigation is complete.
