US actor Johnny Depp sold a collection of prints of Hollywood and rock icons for around £3 million (more than $3.5 million) through a UK gallery on Thursday.

Depp wrote on Instagram on Thursday that Castle Fine Art, which runs a network of galleries in Britain, sells prints made from computer-generated images online.

The gallery says the collection of prints, ‘Friends and Heroes’, is a ‘testament to those who knew him best and those who inspired him’.

The gallery quotes the actor as saying, “My paintings surround my life, but I keep them to myself and limit myself. No one should limit themselves. “

Prints specifically refer to Bob Dylan, Elizabeth Taylor, Al Pacino or Keith Richards.

The gallery said its website was saturated with requests, with 780 pieces for sale. Buyers notably paid 17,800 euros for a set of four framed prints or 4,700 euros for a single print.
