Many festival goers come for this major festival. Headliners such as Nicky Jam and Farooq were on the evening’s programme.

Festival promoter Olivier Primeau explains the excitement behind Latin music in Quebec.

“I know that Latin music sells well, because it sells well at the beach club. Today at full capacity, it’s extraordinary. With enthusiasm on social networks, it’s shared quickly. Plus, the Latino community in Montreal is huge. It’s beautiful to see,” he explains.

A festival-goer even came from France to attend the first edition of the event.

“I came because the artists I love are in the lineup,” she said.
